The worst part of this, is if they charged their customers 12 cents more, they could pay a living wage.

I hope it turns around too. Between currency manipulation of other countries, the Republican war on labor, and the tax breaks for "unearned" income, we seem to not value work. It shows where our values are.

This story not only demonstrates how wages are stolen from workers, but also shows why those workers are often afraid to take legal action when wage theft occurs. If these workers were fired in retaliation for pursuing legal action in regards to their pay, then the employer will have to prove that its reasons for terminating the employees had nothing to do with their filing of the claims.
